Getting started
Add a trading account
Create an account in Fips for each broker or challenge you want to track separately.
Every trade in Fips belongs to an account. Reports, the calendar and the dashboard can show one account or all of them together.
Open Manage accounts
Click the account name at the top of the sidebar, then Add account (or Manage accounts and then Add account).
Fill in the details
- Account name — required. Something you will recognise, like FTMO Challenge $100K or MT5 Live.
- Platform — Manual entry, a trading platform (MetaTrader 4/5, cTrader, DXtrade, TradeLocker, Tradovate), a broker or a crypto exchange.
- Account type — Live or Demo.
- Initial balance and Currency — USD, EUR, GBP, TRY, JPY, BTC or USDT.
- Broker — optional.
- Set as active account — switch it on to make this the account Fips opens with.
Click Add account to save. Choosing a platform labels the account; trades still come in through Import in Trading History.
Track a prop firm challenge
Switch on Enable challenge tracking to add your rules: a consistency target, a daily loss limit (by equity, end of day or balance), a maximum loss limit and a profit goal.
Remove an account
Deleting an account removes it from your journal. Its trades are kept and still show under All accounts.
