Notes and templates

Write a note on every trade in Markdown, and reuse the structure that works for you.

Write a note

Select a trade in Trading History; the note editor is on the right. Press E or Enter to jump straight into it.

  • Switch between Write, Preview and Split views. Fips remembers your choice on this device.
  • The toolbar adds bold (⌘B), italic (⌘I), headings, lists, checklists, quotes, code, links (⌘K) and images.
  • Notes save as you type. Press ⌘S or Save now to save immediately.

Use a template

The Templates row above the editor shows your three most-used templates. Click one to insert it where the cursor is.

Create or edit templates

Click New template (or Manage). A template has a name, a category — Strategy, Review, News, Scalp or Other — and Markdown content.
